The Hotel Britomart is officially Aotearoa’s first Green Star hotel. This 11 floor boutique hotel is sited in the hub of Auckland’s dynamic Britomart precinct. The project’s 5 Green Star rating results from a successful integration of sustainability initiatives which has extended the life of an historic building.

6 star As Built rating

The redevelopment of the HSBC building at 1 Queen Street, Auckland, combines hotel and commercial spaces with shared facilities. The project achieved major reductions in embodied carbon by retaining existing structure materials and incorporated numerous sustainable features, including a 51% reduction in electricity demand and a 78% decrease in greenhouse gas emissions.
