We are proud to release our first ever Green Star Impact Report - a key document highlighting some of the significant strides made in promoting sustainable building practices across New Zealand, and showcasing some of the incredible mahi being done by industry.
For more than 15 years Green Star has helped hundreds of New Zealand’s new offices, industrial buildings, schools, churches, libraries, and convention centres to reduce their
impact on the environment, and provide meaningful, comfortable spaces for our people to thrive in.
In this report we’ve worked to take stock of not just how certification and registration numbers are tracking, but at how our community of members is helping transform the market and instill performance and environmental consideration in New Zealand’s construction and property sectors. It’s not all-encompassing, and we hope to expand in future editions as the team embeds new processes and works their way through data buried in old certification documents. However, we know that the way our community is changing, pushing, and delivering outstanding projects is a remarkable shift from 20, 10, even 5 years ago
This is just the start, and we'll continue to update and produce regular updates with the latest case studies and data. Thank you to everyone who has contributed both to the report, and to the growing uptake of Green Star certification and sustainable building.
