Celebrating 20 years of green building in Aotearoa!
In 2026, Te Kaunihera Hanganga Tautaiao | New Zealand Green Building Council marks 20 years of championing better buildings for Aotearoa. This milestone belongs to the owners, operators, and teams who work hard for healthier, higher-performing, future-fit buildings. Their leadership has shaped this movement and continues to set the benchmark.
These buildings – and the people who care for them – are the strongest possible expression of this progress. Thanks to our members and supporters, we're bringing this anniversary to life by showcasing the rating achievements of Green Star Built, Green Star Performance and NABERSNZ buildings with a decal campaign for the month of February 2026, and beyond!
Spotlighting our green buildings from February 2026
We’ve partnered with Young & Creative and Blink to design a set of bold, building-friendly decals that showcase Green Star Built, NABERSNZ, and Green Star Performance ratings. They’re crafted with care — mindful of scale, aesthetics, safety, and the character your buildings.
The campaign will run through February 2026 (and beyond). So be sure to look out for the decals throughout the month.
We’ll be sharing moments from across the motu throughout the campaign, so loop us in as we'd love to reshare your socials (@New Zealand Green Building Council).
