ECCHO Licence Terms and Conditions

NZGBC has developed the ECCHO software (ECCHO) which offers an online assessment of a home's estimated thermal comfort, energy and carbon emissions.  NZGBC grants individual licenses of the ECCHO software (the ECCHO license) under the following terms and conditions:  

Payment

  • Upon payment of an annual license fee NZGBC grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable ECCHO software license for modelling purposes only.  Your ECCHO license will automatically renew each year unless cancelled by you.  We will send you a renewal reminder but if this is not paid within 30 days of the renewal date, your ECCHO license will lapse.

Returns/Returns
  • Upon receipt of the license fee, you may trial the ECCHO license for 14 days and within this time you may contact us in writing to cancel the license and receive a full refund.  After 14 days, refunds or suspension of the license will only be given at the discretion of NZGBC.   
Support
  • NZGBC provides access to an ECCHO Technical Overview. This guide (LINK ) provides basic advice on how to use the ECCHO software; it is for informational purposes only and is intended to help with understanding how to use our ECCHO tool.  
  • Software updates are also included during the active license period.


Restrictions

  • You agree not to copy, modify, reverse engineer or resell the ECCHO software.

  • The license is offered as a single use license only.

Liability

  • NZGBC may terminate your ECCHO license if we think you are breaching these terms. 

  • NZGBC will not be liable for any loss (whether arising from any use of the ECCHO license except where this liability is excluded by New Zealand law.  If held liable in any way for any loss, NZGBC damages will be limited to the cost of the license.
