Join us for the official launch of Green Star Fitouts, New Zealand Green Building Council’s latest rating tool designed to support sustainable fitout design and construction.
Fitouts are done every 5–7 years, making them one of the most frequently replaced components of our built environment. Each refresh has implications for embodied carbon, waste, occupant wellbeing and project costs, yet these impacts are often underestimated or treated as short‑term choices.
Created in response to increasing industry attention on embodied carbon, circularity and healthier indoor environments, Green Star Fitouts offers a practical, structured approach to making more sustainable fitout decisions across individual projects and entire portfolios. Notably, it is the first rating tool to make circularity a core requirement for fitouts, setting a new standard for how interior spaces are planned and delivered.
In this webinar, we’ll explore:
You’ll also hear directly from some of the team who helped develop the tool, with plenty of time to ask questions about how to add Green Star Fitouts to your projects from now on.
