Taking a short break in 2026, returning in 2027

We're working harder than ever to deliver with impact! Our Housing Summit will take a planned hiatus in 2026 as we focus on supporting the sector through a period of change, and growing demand for practical, hands-on guidance. In early 2026, we'll be focussing our efforts where we've heard support is urgently needed: across the motu, working directly with builders, designers, and developers shaping New Zealand's homes.

Instead of a large national summit, NZGBC will partner with EECA and our industry partners to deliver a series of practical regional masterclasses throughout 2026. 

These new Better by Design sessions will help builders, designers, and developers move beyond the outdated schedule method and build healthier, drier, more energy-efficient homes through modelling-based design.  

The Housing Summit will return refreshed in 2027, informed by your insights gathered through this nationwide programme.
