We are excited to hold the NZGBC Future Thinker of the Year 2024 Awards Evening on 30 April 2024. Join us for our annual awards evening on 30th April 2024 to celebrate some of the country's brightest and most passionate new sustainable building champions.
The NZGBC Future Thinker of the Year 2024 is someone who has demonstrated environmental knowledge and leadership. This could be from their participation in activities, research, or their work achievements. The four finalists will present on the evening and the final winner will be announced.

Rebecca Mills
Managing director and Founder, Lever Room
In her Lever Room (New Zealand's leading carbon measurement provider) role she has lifted up a number of national level initiatives, including the development of Homestar Residential Rating Tool on behalf of NZGBC.
Most recently, Rebecca and her team have shared a new carbon certification approach and have been utilising remote sensing and field plot data to enhance and simplify carbon sequestration measurement. She has an Masters of biosphere science and impact measurement training from Saīd Business School. She currently lives and works in Grey Lynn, Tāmaki Makaurau.
Andrew Eagles
Chief Executive, New Zealand Green Building Council
Andrew studied economics and public policy. He has 20 years experience in the built environment working for the government, supply chain companies and for not for profits. He has a wealth of knowledge in construction, housing, property, policy and supply chains.
Andrew joined the New Zealand Green Building Council in September 2016 as Chief Executive. The NZGBC is the country’s leading not-for-profit for the sustainable built environment. Andrew is proud to be working with his team to achieve a lower carbon healthier Aotearoa New Zealand.
