NABERSNZ Practitioner
This is an in-person course
Practitioners are trained to have a broad knowledge about NABERSNZ and the certified rating process from a client's perspective. Although they are not fully accredited and cannot perform certified rating assessments, their understanding of the tool and its objectives enables Practitioners to take a leadership role in initiating and implementing a NABERSNZ rating and a building's continuous improvement process.
The Practitioner programme provides an overview of the principles behind NABERSNZ and office energy efficiency. It gives professionals a working knowledge of NABERSNZ's key concepts for assessment, as well as the data required to benchmark energy use. The course includes an opportunity to conduct a self-assessment and look at what others have done to improve their building's performance.
Practitioners can:
- add value to employers or clients through a greater understanding of energy management in commercial buildings
- help save owners and tenants money by reducing the time needed to collect data for a NABERSNZ Certified Rating assessment, as well as providing valuable feedback to help improve energy efficiency and reduce ongoing operational costs.
Participants in the NABERSNZ Practitioner training are likely to be those who have:
- an interest in getting a building rating for promotional purposes. (Developers, Owners, Commercial property sales & leasing)
