Green Star Advanced

Green Star Advanced training focuses on teaching the skills necessary to generate a high quality Green Star project submission. It provides an in-depth knowledge of the Green Star Design & As Built + Interiors tool and a comprehensive understanding of the rigorous details required to process a successful Green Star submission.

In order to attend the GSAP training, every attendee will need to have completed the Practitioner/Fundamentals course.

• If you have already completed the Green Star Fundamentals/Practitioner course you are all set to register to the Green Star Advanced course.
• If you haven't , please register and complete the online course prior to the GSAP course commencing

For Green Star Practitioners who completed their Practitioner course prior to July 2022, you will need to complete the Green Star refresher video:

• If you haven't registered to the Green Star refresher video, please register and complete prior to the GSAP course commencing.

The Green Star Accredited Professional qualification will be awarded to participants on successful completion of an online exam.

The online exam will require additional time investment beyond attending the course and must be completed within two weeks of attending the course.

All those who don't complete the exam will automatically become a Green Star Associate.

This course is targeted at those who wish to make Green Star project submissions to the New Zealand Green Building Council. Generally, potential GSAPs will have professional qualifications in related industries such as Engineering, Building Science, Quantity Surveying, Sustainability in the built environment, Architecture, Project Management or similar professional expertise. However other related experience and skills may be acceptable. If you are uncertain whether your background will be appropriate please contact NZGBC.

Green Star qualifications are valid for valid for one year before you will be asked to renew. You will be emailed an invoice one month before your qualification is due to expire.

GSAPs are required to complete 10 continuous professional development (CPD) points annually.

Green Star associates are required to complete 6 continuous professional development (CPD) points annually.

• Non-member - $225

Green Star Associate annual renewal fees

• NZGBC member - $100
• Non-member - $150
