What you need to know

As a member of the Te Kaunihera Hanganga Tautaiao | the New Zealand Green Building Council, you play an integral role in shaping our direction as we work toward a more sustainable built environment.

As a for-purpose industry body, our Annual General Meeting is an important part our governance process. Please join our Chairman, Brendon Dwyer of Beca and our Chief Executive, Andrew Eagles as we meet to review our performance for the year. It’s also an opportunity to meet our newly elected board member together with the team from the NZGBC and your fellow members.

Guest speaker

Ged Finch - Chief Technology Officer at XFrame, will share his journey as a finalist in our Future Thinker of the Year programme and give us some insights into the startup XFrame - a New Zealand/Australia property technology company specialising in creating circular building systems.

Under his technical leadership, XFrame has gained recognition in prestigious awards such as FastCompany’s Innovation Awards, the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) Awards, the Sustainable Business Awards, NZ Wood Design Awards, and was a finalist in the COINS Grand Challenge. Following their success, XFrame is scaling up its project delivery in Australia.

Call for Board nominations has now closed. All documentation relating to the AGM order of business was sent to company key contacts on Wednesday 30th October.

Ged Finch bw2
Ged Finch

Chief Technology Officer - XFrame

Ged Finch is the Chief Technology Officer at XFrame, a New Zealand and Australian property technology startup specializing in circular building systems.

Ged completed his doctoral studies in Architecture at Victoria University of Wellington (2018–2023), where his research focused on optimizing building layer interactions to enhance deconstruction and material recovery. This work led to the creation of XFrame, a modular lattice framing system designed for the elemental reuse of building components.

In 2020, Ged established XFrame as a company, driving the implementation of circular interior fit-outs and residential structures in New Zealand, Australia, and North America. He now leads a skilled team of computational designers and project managers based in Wellington, New Zealand, dedicated to advancing circular design solutions.

XFrame is scaling up its project delivery in Australia through a strategic partnership with Smith Management Group (SMG). Following a successful seed capital raise in January 2022, XFrame has significantly developed its systems and processes, preparing for broader market entry and growth in the circular construction industry.
