Senior Manager Buildings & Communities - NZGBC
Brad is the Manager of the Green Star rating tool where he assists the Green Star team and identifies new opportunities to use the quiver of Green Star tools (Design and As-Built, Performance, Interior, Communities) to make buildings better.
While getting his Geography Master’s degree back in the late 1990s Brad first heard about Sustainability and Green Buildings. Ever since he has been advocating for green buildings and sustainability including starting up his own business creating and installing rainwater catchment systems in Portland, Oregon. Brad has a positive outlook on seeing what he and NZGBC can do to encourage healthier and more environmentally friendly buildings and communities in Aotearoa.
Head of Trade Sales - Dulux New Zealand
Chris is the Head of Trade Sales at Dulux New Zealand. Chris leads a highly experienced team in developing tailored systems and solutions for the NZ built environment.
Chris has over a decade of experience with Dulux Group offering solutions to the built environment across Australia and New Zealand. Chris’ last role was the National Sales Manager for Dulux Powders Coatings Australia.
Principal at Studio Pacific Architecture
Grant is a registered Architect and Principal at Studio Pacific Architecture, with more than two decades of experience across Aotearoa and the UK. His work spans residential, commercial and civic projects, with a particular focus on adaptive reuse, seismic resilience and sustainable public architecture.
Since joining Studio Pacific in 2008, Grant has led a range of complex refurbishment projects that sit at the intersection of design, performance and context, often working within existing structures to deliver low-carbon, future-fit outcomes. He brings a strong interest in building performance, mass timber construction and design for off-site manufacture, underpinned by a commitment to design that leads change.
Grant is currently Project Lead for the Te Manawataki o Te Papa Library and Community Hub in Tauranga, which is on track to become one of the first public buildings in Aotearoa to achieve a 6 Star Green Star Design rating.
Sustainability Lead at Foster Construction Group
Mitika is the Sustainability Lead for Foster Construction Group, a Main Contractor based in Waikato & Bay of Plenty.
Her work spans across carbon reporting, green building and environmental management on site. Over the last few years, she has led their Toitu Enviromark Diamond & Carbonzero Audits, various Homestar & Green Star projects and internal sustainability initiatives. She is passionate about upskilling others in this space and sharing insights to pave the way for more Green buildings in our region.
Technical Coordinator - NZGBC
James is a Technical Coordinator at the NZGBC. In his role he facilitates the Green Star certification process. James collaborates with local Bay of Plenty project teams and the Green Star assessor community and is the first point of contact throughout the certification process.
