The Homestar Fundamentals course is the first step in your Homestar journey and equips you with a good knowledge of the fundamentals of Homestar.

This course is delivered via an online learning platform via a combination of different learning tools such as e-books, e-presentations and activities to ensure that you can be fully across Homestar no matter where or when you want to learn.

As of 1 February 2024, the Homestar Practitioner course has changed to Homestar Fundamentals. The Homestar Fundamentals course will continue to be a prerequisite for the Homestar Designer and Homestar Assessor course.  However once expired, the current formal accreditation of Homestar Practitioner will cease to exist.

Homestar Fundamentals course FAQs

The online course consists of 7 modules, that each have a video and a quiz to test your knowledge. The topics that we're covering are an introduction to Homestar, an overview of the tool, the Efficient, Healthy and Comfortable, Liveable, Environmentally Responsible and Innovation categories and the Homestar process.

We recommend you allow half a day to complete this course.

The course is for anyone who is wanting to gain more of an understanding of the Homestar tool, gain insights on the different categories, the process involved and which roles carry which responsibilities. 

The course serves as a prerequisite for our Homestar Designer and Homestar Assessor courses. 

To access the online modules, please purchase the course. You will then receive a notification email from LearnWorlds with your log in details to the online programme. Please note, this may take up to 3 working days.
