$150 billion economic boost from lower carbon homes and buildings, reveals new report

Two entries from New Zealand have been named by the World Green Building Council amongst the finalists in the 2018 Asia Pacific Leadership in Green Building Awards.

Auckland property developers Mansons TCLM is in the running for an award in the Better Places for People category, and Wellington’s Aorangi House is up for a Leadership in Sustainable Design and Performance award. The winners will be announced on 6 September.

Other finalists are from China, India, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Australia and Singapore.

Presented by the World Green Building Council every two years, and its Asia Pacific Regional Network of Green Building Councils in 15 countries, including New Zealand, the awards celebrate iconic green buildings, up-and-coming innovators and inspiring companies driving change and creating a better future throughout the region.

The Awards will recognise winners across the following categories:
