What you need to know

Many in the property sector have been using NZGBC rating tools to access sustainable finance – accelerating their own sustainability priorities while also accessing better rates on loans and other financing mechanisms. Through building certification and environmental commitments when negotiating commercial property finance, investors and developers have the potential to achieve better outcomes for shareholders and the communities they impact.

Andrew Eagles, chief executive of the NZGBC, will highlight sustainable finance trends and data, followed by senior manager Bobby Shen, who will discuss our latest sustainable finance guide, including proposed additions related to NABERSNZ and Green Star Communities. You’ll then have an opportunity to hear from a leading panel representing different parts of the property sector about how sustainable finance has supported their sustainability strategy and provided a raft of commercial benefits.

Who should watch?
