Oceania Healthcare has achieved another Homestar rating, this time for The Sands, a large retirement village complex in Browns Bay, North Auckland. Increasingly Oceania residents are wanting the reassurance that their apartments have been built with a softer impact on the environment and will cost them less to live in. So much so that the retirement home provider is now committed to building all new apartments to Homestar.
In line with this premise The Sands has achieved a 6-star rating for each of its 64 apartments. LED lighting, use of low VOC paints, higher than standard insulation, low flow shower heads and appliances with high energy ratings, give residents peace of mind as they enjoy their comfortable warm, dry and quiet homes. These dwellings join the 307 other Oceania apartments that are Homestar rated or awaiting certification. All new apartments are being are constructed with sustainability in mind.
