It's nice to have something to celebrate, and we couldn't be happier to share our four finalists for this year's Future Thinker of the Year.
Future Thinker of the Year is awarded each year to a student or recent graduate who has demonstrated environmental knowledge and leadership. This could be through activism, research, or achievements in and out of work. It recognises success and passion for green buildings, and offers an opportunity to make a real difference across Aotearoa’s built environment.
Our awesome panel of judges Lloyd Budd, Warner Brunton, Andrea Davison, Te Ari Predendergast, Kate Boylan and Jennifer Whittle beamed in to decide our finalists out of a really talented shortlist. After much debate and discussion they decided on our final four Gerard Finch, Hannah Wu, Rochelle Kirby and Tessa Meyer.
A huge thank you to everyone who put themselves forward this year. The judges were blown away by the work being put in by young New Zealanders and the enthusiasm for better building.
Next week our judges will sit down (remotely) with our four finalists to pepper them with questions and give them a chance to interact. This session will be pre-recorded and broadcast as part of a live announcement of the winner on Thursday 16th April.
Join us online across our social channels and website on Thursday 16th April from 12pm.
