Award-winning workplace design specialist Andrew Tu'inukuafe has been appointed on the NZGBC board, representing consultants.

As chair of Warren and Mahoney, Andrew is a Principal within the architecture firm’s Auckland studio and brings a strong passion for sustainability in the built environment.

“Overseeing one of our industry’s most prolific practice's across Australia and Aotearoa, Andrew brings a wealth of experience and industry insights to our board,” says former NZGBC Board chair Brendon Dwyer

“With expertise in fitouts - a growing and vital element of green building, as well as the full scale of build and community projects, we are excited to work with Andrew to continue transforming the built environment.”

Andrew’s appointment was confirmed at a board meeting in early March, filling one of two independent director positions appointed by the NZGBC Board.

“Sustainability is a vital pillar of our work at Warren and Mahoney and we have a fantastic, long-standing relationship with the NZGBC. I’m thrilled to join the board and look forward to contributing to its ongoing success,” says Andrew.

At the same meeting, Jane Holland, partner at law firm Bell Gully, was re-appointed as an independent director (Jane has since retired from the NZGBC Board). The confirmation of independent directors follows the appointment by NZGBC members of Argosy Property chief executive Peter Mence last November to represent the property industry.
