We are now receiving all Homestar and Green Star technical queries through our new online submission Form.
This includes all Technical Questions (TQ's) and general, non-project-specific questions about NZGBC rating tools
Do I need to submit a General Question or a Technical Question?
General Question
Submit to General Questions when you have a query that is general in nature. General Questions are intended to provide general assistance with the user experience of NZGBC’s rating tools.
General Questions may include queries such as:
-
Navigating the NZGBC website
-
Finding project details.
-
Finding NZGBC resources (e.g., where to download Submission Guidelines or Leadership Challenges).
Note that project-specific General Questions should not be technical in nature (i.e., do not relate to credits or rating tool requirements) and cannot be used as evidence in submissions.
These questions will be cancelled, and the submitter directed to resubmit as a Technical Question.
Technical Question
Submit a Technical Question when your query relates to the technical interpretation or application of a rating tool. This may include:
-
Clarifying an item within a credit or rating tool
-
Confirming your interpretation of a credit
-
Proposing an alternative solution to meet credit requirements
-
Seeking a response intended for use in a project submission
Technical Questions should generally be project-specificand will be counted toward that project’s complementary allotment of TQs unless otherwise agreed with NZGBC.
Non‑project‑specific Technical Questions are usually free of charge but may incur a fee at NZGBC’s discretion.
